Sarah Doyle’s new sci-fi indie comedy short film first got internet viral recognition for being a female written and directed short film seeking funding on INDIEGOGO with support from American Film Institute. The plot takes the sci-fi idea of the multiverse and how running into better versions of yourself could really set off existential comical midlife crisis.
The film had its first screening at the new Etheria Film Night inaugural event at Hollywood’s Egyptian Theatre last Saturday. The promise of the new Etheria Film Night is a film fest celebrating woman directed movies and films that “exists to address the misconception that women don’t direct scenes that bleed, crash and explode.”
I for one scream to see a feature-length version of this film as soon as possible. And from the trailer alone I hope Sarah Doyle get’s that pleasure to make it happen soon.
